Yes, no one is perfect, including myself. Sometimes, I never meant to do the things that I did. Sometimes, I just wanted to hide who I am inside, that weak girl. Sometimes, I just wanted to start over certain parts of my life, at least not re-doing the mistakes I did. Sometimes, I fail to do things I wanted to do. Not to mention, all the sharp swords piercing my mind, heart, and even my soul. "you think way too much", well, I am sorry for not being invincible.
Would you, you, and you make me invisible? I do not need attention if it will only snatch away my freedom to be who I am, to cry, to be angry, to be gloomy.. I am sorry, I am not that perfect little miss sunshine; I am a human being with ups and downs. You may say I am the one standing at the center stage, but deep inside, all I want to be is that rock at the back corner of the stage.
"But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
ReplyDeletePeople in this world may look at you from outer looks. They may say couraging things about you, yet they can also say discouraging things about. It all is from the worlds perspective. But the Lord God, does not sees you from an outward appearance, He looks at the heart. Though you may not be the perfect person in this world (which nobody is), if your heart is clean and pure, with the right purpose, then You are perfect in Gods eye.
Here is a classic example.
A man was walking along a narrow path, not paying much attention to where he was going.1 Suddenly he slipped over the edge of a cliff. As he fell, he grabbed a branch growing from the side of the cliff. Realizing that he couldn’t hang on for long, he called for help.
Man: Is anybody up there?
Voice: Yes, I’m here!
Man: Who’s that?
Voice: The Lord.
Man: Lord, help me!
Voice: Do you trust me?
Man: I trust you completely, Lord.
Voice: Good. Let go of the branch.
Man: What???
Voice: I said, let go of the branch.
Man: [After a long pause] Is anybody else up there?2
Like this dangling, cliffhanger, are you ever afraid that God might ask too much of you? Consider for a moment what would be too much? Our daily lives are built around people and things we enjoy: a spouse, children, friends, a job, a hobby, possessions, and future plans. These are the pillars and beams of our earthly support system; and if one of them is removed, we sometimes feel as though the framework of our lives is collapsing around us. But there are times when God says “Let go!” and the nuts and bolts that hold our world together suddenly snap. If you’ve ever been in that situation you know the pressure a test like that can exert on your faith.
Sometimes you have to trust the Lord and have faith to let go of the past, all the thinking, because God knows the bigger picture. You can be the man who holds on the past and keep struggling to hold on the branch aka "past", or you can trust God and let go of the branch and do not have to struggle anymore.
The choice lays with with you. You are the one that can make yourself move on. Like the man, he decided to not trust God and ask is there another way then letting go of the branch?.
i cant make u invisible van :) but i can accept the imperfect you :) you are open to be whoever you are ;) that's what friends for right?
