What's next? Living in a make-believe world? Pretending some things aren't happening, while you know that you cannot deny the existence of problems.
No one needs to be sorry for telling you that life is real, pain is real, devil is real, and all sort of the downs you imagine are real.
You cannot choose not to have stumbling stones along your way, but you can choose to walk with Him with the light of the world shining upon your way.
You may feel the absence of that peculiar bond; however, it's not the light which is not shining, but you who's closing your eyes that you cannot see, you who covers your ears that you do not hear.

Before we even existed, God had chosen to save us and if God had decided, He would never change His mind. His plan is golden, it is never thwarted, and nothing we can do can change it. He did not wait for you to repent. He did not wait for you to make a choice to follow Him, for He knew you would not anyway if He had not first chosen you! Your salvation is secured as it was already decided before time even began. This is true security. There should be no doubts in our heads. Our salvation was not dependent upon our will, neither was it dependent upon our choice to follow God. His electing grace will sustain and will keep supplying us with the desires to persevere in the faith. ^^
